Indication:
Rosuvastatin 20 mg tablets are prescribed to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. Cholesterol, a fatty substance that accumulates in blood vessels, can lead to heart attacks or strokes. Rosuvastatin belongs to a class of drugs called statins. It works by blocking an enzyme in the liver called HMG-CoA reductase, which reduces cholesterol production. Additionally, it increases the liver’s uptake of cholesterol from the blood and its breakdown.
